Your story reminded me of when I was in 7th grade junior high. And yes I am dating myself here because that was 1972-73 and most people, guys especially, parted their hair on one side or the other. But for some reason, that year became the year many guys started going to parting their hair in the middle. This was a HUGE step at the time and I finally did it myself and have kept it that way ever since.
