Your position is counter-intuitive and Putin-apologetic. NATO is a defensive organization. Always has been. NATO expansion does NOT threaten Russia in any way. Your description of NATO as "an aggressive military alliance" is completely false and a parroting of Putin propaganda.

What NATO expansion does do, however, is counter Russian expansionism. Putin in thrall to the concept of a greater Russia. Ideological godfather Alexander Dugin also advocates an expansion of Russia to achieve empire.

Russia is NOT the victim and to assert it is beyond absurdity! Your propaganda denies Ukrainian agency to make up their own mind.

It isn't NATO bombing power plants, shopping centers and apartment complexes full of civilians. It isn't NATO kidnapping children and sending them to locations inside Russia to be adopted away from their Ukrainian parents.

NATO did not do a false flag bombing of a civilian complex INSIDE Russia as an excuse to destroy Grozny in Chechnya. Nor did NATO poison dissidents with polonium.

Asserting Finland plays into Putin's hand is ludicrous. The fact that Russia has now invaded sovereign neighbors THREE times (Georgia, Ukrainian Crimea and now Ukraine proper) is what has convinced Finland and Sweden that Putin cannot be trusted to hold to territorial integrity.

Russia agreed to Ukrainian territorial integrity when the west convinced Ukraine to send the nuclear weapons in Ukraine to Russia- An agreement Putin broke nearly immediately!
