Other than some involvement by members in Afghanistan Nato hasn't conducted military operations since the Bosnia conflict-

I don't blame any of those nations for joining Nato- they mostly all had long history of independecne until the advent of the USSR- and Putin is working to reconstitute the USSR as a Russian empire
