What is killing progressivism is a litmust test toe-the-line approach to every single issue. A large segment of progressives want to excommunicate anyone that disagrees on any given single issue. There's no room for disagreement on any issue in the progressive universe.

The so-called progressive claims that Biden is so all-powerful are ludicrous on its face! He doesn't have the power to rein in Netanyahu. Yes he could have (and perhaps should have) not sent more weapons to Israel. I am sure they had plenty already.

What is happening in Gaza is horrific and needs to be called out. The IDF is likely committing war crimes. And the Netanyahu government has been working a slow roll ethnic cleansing in the west bank for years. The current military conflict is certainly a form of ethnic cleansing in Gaza, but it is not genocide. Genocide has a specific meaning.

Per the UN: The definition contained in Article II of the Convention describes genocide as a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part. It does not include political groups or so called “cultural genocide”
