The whining about debates indicates you are one of those purist progressives who does not understand politics. Biden is the incumbent and as such has no need to legitimize competition in the primary. Kennedy and Williamson are so far down in the polls as to make their candidacies unviable. Now, if the polls and their showing at primary elections elevates them to competitive status then by all means call for debates. But historically when an incumbent president is challenged by his own party, it weakens him and enables the other party candidate to victory- Reagan did it to Ford and Kennedy did it to Carter.
