Well said. While I don’t have a PhD, I was the first in my blue collar family to go to college and get a Bachelors degree. We grew up taking dinners to my dad as he walked picket lines on strike at the factory where he worked.

I think my dad voted mostly Republican since Nixon, but it would have disappointed me to find he had voted for Trump were he alive now.
