We live in Grand Rapids of which Jamestown is effectively a suburb. My wife suggested donating to the fund to keep the library open but in the end I decided not to.

We can't keep bailing out people in communities like this- If there are people who want the library kept open and oppose this sort of bigotry- they should simply MOVE- this action and the vote to not fund the library should tell them about the community in which they live!~ Why stay there? Move to a location that isn't over-run with bigots

We lived in Grandville for years, a city between Grand Rapids and Jamestown. One 4th of July parade during an election year, the people on the side of the road were vocally BOO-ing any Democratic politician walking in the parade- that rudeness was part of the new Republican Party's unleashing of the most reprehensible side. The total lack of common community decency went out the window - we opted to move to a more inclusive and diverse location in the City of Grand Rapids.
