Very informative!

As a progressive politically, I am at odds with the progressive party line of "settler colonialism" and "blame America" narrative.

I keep pushing back their attempt to call the current conflict genocide. Genocide has a specific meaning under the UN definition- if Israel was committing genocide they would be attacking Jordan and Syria too. I point this out out since many of the current people we call Palestinians actually were from families that migrated TO that are from Syria and Jordan because the area was becoming more prosperous in the early 20th century.

it's almost as if they want to flip the narrative since Jews were the primary target of actual genocide at one time and there seems to be almost a gleeful attitude applying the genocide term to the jewish Israeli state.
