Too many Americans are completely ignorant of how the federal budget works, what actual debt is debt, and more.

The USA is a very wealthy nation and the necessary spending we need to do does NOT come from taxes. As an adherent to Modern Monetary Theory, the govt is a currency creator - not a user.

Rightwingers here are also using the "FEMA money was depleted by housing migrants" when the funds for that are completely separate than the funds for disasters and allocated by law passed by Congress and cannot be moved to other uses AND it should also noted that the funding needed for disasters was blocked... by REPUBLICANS!
