This seems more and more common to have women teachers getting arrested for this than in the past. Doing a quick Google search with the phrase "woman teacher convicted for having sex with student " brings up a whole string of search results! Sign of changed times. Back in "the day" people would have just considered the young male students lucky- heck they got laid!

I actually got called for jury duty one year in the case of Abigail Simon. But the jury got picked with two alternates before my number was called. I am glad I didn't have to sit on that jury. The trial was in 2014 and she had been in state prison. She was paroled in November 2022.
