The way for the USA to experience less migration to our southern border is to address the root causes of that migration from Latin America and the Caribbean. The root causes are unstable governments, unsafe conditions, and lack of economic opportunity- that is the root cause of migration.

But what is the root cause of unstable governments, unsafe conditions, and lack of economic opportunity?

We need to look into the mirror. The USA has repeatedly, for over 100 years, destabilized these countries.

It was done to protect US corporation's ability to plunder natural resources.

It was done out of Cold War anti-communist attitudes.

It was done out of US imperial ambitions.
