The first pedal bike with two same sized wheels was called the Safety Bicycle because they were much safer than the Penny Farthing
Also, because the penny farthing was a direct-pedal device (much like a child's tricycle) the bikes were custom made to the riders' inseem. A person with longer legs would have a bigger diameter wheel.
My first banana seat bike in the 1970s wasn't a schwinn but looked a lot like the bikes in your photo
My very first two wheel bike was a girls frame schwinn. It was painted metallic blue and my dad bought it for me for $10 around 1966. Probably similar to a Breeze model. I could not start riding it from a standstill, so I instead grabbed the handlebars and got a running start and lept onto the saddle. Stopping wasn't an issue, just starting out LOL
