That was a very interesting article! Coincidentally, from 1987 to 1990, I was the manager of an inner city convenience store in Muskegon, Michigan. We were the second busiest liquor outlet in Muskegon County, second only to the local outlet of a regional supermarket chain! The entire wall behind the counters were stocked with liquor. On weekends in the summer, some brands and sizes were not even pulled from the shelves, but rather we cut open the tops of the boxes and pulled stock for the customer right from the boxes- and yes, we sold TONS of cognac of all those brands!
