Presidential Election

I don’t remember this, but my mom said she was ironing when I ran into the house yelling “The president has been shot" referring to Kennedy.

I do remember watching Nixon v Humphrey v Wallace in 1968. I was up all night watching election returns.

As such, I have been hooked on history and such since. So it is with historical gravitas I watched the inauguration today, January 20th 2021 for Joe Biden.

Biden wasn’t my first choice. I was Bernie, Warren, Yankees. My wife was Warren.

But Biden got the nod and we supported him.

I have to admit to some tears as we watched the recorded Inauguration. While I have no illusions as to the nature of politics going forward, watching the recording amd speeches after the last 4 years, a huge weight had been lifted. I admit to some tears. Maybe released political stress?

I have no misconception of the difficulties ahead, but have more hope for improvement.
