Not true- the re-start of the act applied only to those turning 18-26 AFTER the start of the re-authorization. Obama would have been 19 an thus not required to register. I was 21 and never had to register.

Obama does not have a selective service registration record- a point brought up as propaganda by the right during his presidential run as if his lack of registratio n was part of some big conspiracy- it wasn't- He, like me, was in that window of time in which we were not required to register.
