Not all teachers are bad but some are sociopaths and bullies!

I had a 10th grade geometry teacher that used to walk around the rooom during class and would squeeze the shoulder/collarbone of a couple of the male students so hard they winced in pain, Of course he only did that to the kids who would put up with it. i would have punched him out!

We had teachers in junior high in gym that would smack kids on the back of bare legs in gym class with a plastic hockey stick as they exited or entered the locker room - it would leave a welt!

All this "kid bashing" gets old- if the previous generation wants respect they need to not only earn it but treat others with respect

BTW I too am 63.
