My wife is half Mexican. Her grandparents on her mother's side immigrated to the US in the early 20th century. Nearly all my wife's cousins in Colorado are clearly hispanic and look it (brown skin). We had a conversation with her married cousins David and Jo. David related that he was going into a Walmart with his kids and some guy yells "go back where you came from." David responded " I was born here, asshole."
