Park&Rides are where people meet up park their cars and ride-share. Sometimes the RideShare is state owned minivan - riders share rides for longer commutes. I knew four guys who had a 45 mile each way commute that would meet up near their homes and share a state van to drive to work taking turns driving so the others could sleep a bit on the way in
