McConnell has no reason to fear Democrats. He won re-election and will be there another 6 years. If the two Georgia Democrats do not win their run-off elections the only possible tenuous check on McConnell would be Kamala Harris actually presiding over the Senate. McConnell may indeed be the most powerful person in Washington DC!

You act like it is the Democrat’s fault we can’t get progress past McConnell. It isn’t their fault- it is McConnell’s fault.

Compromise is part of politics. Sure, Democrats can hold put for a trillion as McConnell refuses. Meanwhile, people suffer when we could get some relief in the pipeline.
