Marianne Williamson is not ready for prime time in terms of presidential material. She has too much kook baggage. I do not prefer Kamala Harris nor Pete B either.

I also don't see anyone currently in congress who could be a possible candidate. Bernie is too old and Warren didn't get enough traction her last attempt.

We need a candidate that is effective. You may not like him but Newsome is effective and has a high enough profile to be a contender, despite his connections to corporatocracy.

Frankly, I would love to see my Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer give a run at it. She is very effective, good speaker, solid government experience both in legislature and now executive branch. She was a solid performer during the pandemic despite being a target of right wing attempts to kidnap and kill her. She was not my first choice in the 2018 Democratic primary. I was a supporter of Abdul El-Sayed. But other than signing what I consider to be a terrible reform bill for Michigan auto insurance, I have been pleasantly surprised at her performance. A recent spate of bills flew through the now Democratic controlled legislature and she signed them- repeal of right to work and several commonsense gun regulation bills.
