Keystone pipeline was NOT going to generate any new oil. It was merely a transit device for oil already being pumped.

Why is it Americans think they deserve cheap gas? Whenever the "market" makes the price go up, so many capitalistic consumers begin to howl for government intervention.

The oil industry has never been a true market.

Exxon and Chevron and others have reaped HUGE profits over the last two years. Some of that windfall could have been used to offset cost also.

OPEC may set their base price for a barrel of oil but if you really want to manage the cost after that, stop letting Wall St set the prices with their commodities manipulations and greed.
