Yes we DO need it and yes we can afford it. Why is it conservatives cling to outdated ideas which have been proven false over and over again.?

The current situation is somewhere between the Great Depression and the Great Recession. Both in their time unique and required unique responses. This situation is also unique and NOT a normal downturn in the economic cycle.
