In my last job with a EV car company we had a supplier in the Czech Republic fail to meet a shipment of parts- the supplier lost half its workforce of Ukrainians who went home to fight the Russian invasion. People providing apologetics for Russia's aggression as you note are denying Ukrainian agency.

Those Ukrainian workers are apparently just suckers for US Imperialism
