IMO bringing back Chris Pine as Steve Trevor was the worst decision and injecting him into the story seemed like a contrived element which, because it became the center of the story, brought the movie down to slightly better than mediocre. I expect that the writers/studio tried to get that chemistry from the first movie but it really felt contrived.
