I remember during the Obama years rightwingers claiming I was in a cult and Obama was our deity. Hilarious considering some of us did vote for him but didn't agree with every position or action he took and said so out loud.
But MAGA can't even criticize one single thing about Trump- not one.
As for Trump being " the great white hope" Ta-Nehisi Coates had a great piece titled:
"The First White President
The foundation of Donald Trump’s presidency is the negation of Barack Obama’s legacy."
Coates notes that while we have always had white presidents, Trump was the first to explicitely run ON his whiteness.
