I read the books in 2015 and then started watching the TV show.

A couple other differences should be noted, but I recall one off the top of my head.

In the books, the Hound and Briene never meet and fight. In the TV show, they do have a climactic vicious battle which Briene wins, supposedly killing the Hound though he survives. In the book, it is also rumored the Hound is dead and someone else is using is helmet

In my opinion, this meeting and fight actually made the TV show more dynamic.
