I met Vance's opponent in the senate race (Democrat Tim Ryan) at a party function here in Grand Rapids that year. He perfectly trolled Vance's shift from disliking Trump to being a booster by telling an audience that in Ohio "we don't kiss ass, we kick ass" though it didn't get him a win.

Harris got her good dig in saying (paraphrase) " I don't know about Vance other than he's efficient. In one statement he managed to be racist, mysoginistic and anti-semitic"
