I have had similar sentiments about the "defund the police" phrase. I know it means a lot more than simply taking money away from law enforcement. It means devoting resources to poverty, mental health, social workers etc.

But when it takes far longer to EXPLAIN your catchphrase than it does for the opposition to attack it, they already lost the argument unfortunately.
