I don’t think Trump genuinely thinks he won. He knows he lost, just like he knows he had 4 bankruptcies. He just has a narcissistic need to not admit losing and instead turns every losing situation into a drawn out legal fight to claim to have won. Except in this case he won’t be able to claim a win by shedding millions of dollars of liabilities he got the bank to forgive.
