I don't know what kind of music you like but I am a big fan of the band Rush from Toronto Canada. Their base player Geddie Lee recently released an autobiography titled "My Effin Life."

In the bio, the first 3-4 chapters really deal with not only growing up Jewish but also with his parents' experience literally surviving the death camps. His mother and her younger sister had blood drawn by the evil Dr. Mengele every couple days! Lee rolls their experience into his experience as he tells his tale of being raised religious Jewish to abandoning the religious aspect as an atheist but embracing his jewishness as "race" rather than religion.

My best friend Steve had grandparents that survived as well as one that fought in a jewish battalion in the years leading up to the founding of the state of Israel
