I don't know that Wikipedia is "chock full" of misinformation. It is a crowd-sourced resource and sometimes there are people who will edit to apply a political spin but plenty of other people usually catch that sort of thing and edit it out. Also, all wikipedia entries have sources in the footnotes for the actual background information.

As to Youtube instructional videos- they can be VERY helpful and I have used two specifically.

The first was when I needed to change the tail-light bulb on my Subaru Forester. I couldn't get the entire tail light assembly out of the car! The video was by a company called 1A Auto (link below [1]) and illustrated using a plastic pry tool set to pop the light assembly off the car! I bought the kit for $30 and changed my bulb in just a couple minutes. We ended up buying the same kit for my brother-in-law (who is a real car guy) for christmas.

The second instructional video was for how to repair a car's front fascia. We hit a deer in my wife's Subaru Legacy a couple years ago and had the car repaired, but the front fascia never held well and would pop apart. The video link below [2] illustrated how to fix it with chemical weld using JBWeld. I got the items at my local hardware store and her car is now solidly held together
