I do know there is some financing laws which prevent mixing of money for federal level campaigns and candidates from state and local.
I am active in our local Kent County Democratic Party and this came up last night at our monthly meeting. We are putting together a slate literature campaign. The county party will fund a mailing which shows all the candidates running in Michigan but the literature cannot include our candidates for US Senate, US House or the Harris candidacy. Doing so would violate the rules.
We also cannot blend operations directly. Our county party leases a building for our permanent HQ. Now, during the presidential campaign, the Harris campaign has sent staff to Grand Rapids and we are leasing to them one of the rooms in our headquarters. But the room was via an open area in the building so we also had to actually construct a wall with a door so that the federal operations can be said be distinctly separate.
