I am a progressive and I support having a FED. It is true the Fed often tilts toward corporations and Wall St but it doesn't have to- It's mandate is control inflation via money supply and work to get to full employment.

If you get rid of the Fed, economic expansion will cease, banks will go under taking depositors money with it

The Fed isn't about neoliberalism vs progressive-ism- it's merely a tool
