Good article illustrating "rentier" as a concept which needs to be more mainstreamed!

French Economist Thomas Piketty did a great job re-introducing the concept of "rent seeking" back into economic lexicon. But 'rent seeking' like 'rentier' are still not words used by everyday people to help them understand their position in society.

Then again, if you said "rentier" many would mistake it for "renter"
