Exactly- as a fifth generation descendent of an Irish Immigrant (1964) it bugs me to no end how the Sean Hannity's of the world are the way they are- And Hannity is a grandson of immigrants. But he totally forgets the history of British oppression of the irish and their culture!

There were several key Irish revolutionaries that made it to the USA and fough for the Union in the civil war- notably Thomas Meagher.

John Mitchell was a Youn Irelander with Meagher but fought for the south and was shunned by his fellow Irish revolutionaries for this because he was fighting to maintain an oppressive system
