Eastern Ukraine is particularly rich in iron ore, manganese, coal, titanium, natural gas, Lithium, Graphite, Zirconium, Beryllium, Neon which is why Ukraine cannot give up territory- these resources would give Russia more clout than their oil does now & will simply be another resource for Russia's oligarchs to plunder instead of growing a prosperous Ukraine.

But Trump, doing Putin's bidding, will push the "land for peace" line of argument- guaranteed.
