Don't worry, you can get back there but some issues just need maintenance!

I am an avid cyclist (mountain bike racing, gravel road racing, endurance road riding). Memorial Day weekend 2021 out for what was an 80 mile ride I got 65 miles in and my neck locked up. C ouldn't turn my head to the left and every bump on the road was painful!

Went to the doctor the next week- xray revealed severe arthritis- not sure if that was the root cause or not. Anyway the doctor couldn't ( or would not) do anything about it other than to tell me to stop riding my bike WTH?

I got a different doctor and also started going to a masseuse monthly which has largely kept my neck pain in check and I am still riding serious rides and races. And just turned 63

I train regularly on my bike trainer and treadmill as well as weights and stretches
