As far as I can find only Gwen Ifill called Harris the female Obama.

Referencing the 2020 election and primary is a non-sequitar. Biden also bombed out in numerous previous attempts at the presidency until 2020.

As to her popularity among Democrats, doing a google search I see headlines like this:

1. Most Democrats are very enthusiastic about Kamala Harris

2. About 8 in 10 Democrats satisfied with Harris as nominee

3. Kamala Harris approval rating high among Dems

All vice-presidents are "selected" and have been since the constitution was changed to have them run as a paired set with the presidential candidate-even before we had primaries.

Harris was elected in the primary as VP pick - people vote knowing that if the president needs to be succeeded due to death or other issue the VP will become president.

As to covering up Biden's alleged condition- as VP it's not her position to be disloyal and run to the press. I am sure there were discussions behind the scenes.

As to message- she only recently got the nomination- and we are right on top of the election! Message will get out there over the next few weeks.

Based on the rallies I have seen she does appear to have a 'wow factor.'

As to "multiple wars" - I 100% support the funding going to Ukraine. I do wish the administration had put more pressure on criminal Netanyahu though. Again, as VP she was not going to publicly go against the Biden approach. Hopefully now, she can forge her own path. But with the Israeli/Hamas issue, we need to ensure a ceasefire doesn't become a mechanism for Hamas to regroup. They are terrorists- Period.
