As big a danger as Trump may be in a Hitler-esque manner, his America First movement in general is a big danger to the USA's position as a world leader pushing back against autocracy while enabling racism, hate and isolationism at home.

I just finished HWBrands' book "America First: Roosevelt vs. Lindbergh in the Shadow of War" and the almost exact same rhetoric of the "America First" movement is used by MAGA including demonization of Jews and foreigners, complaints about federal spending and the debt.
