Actually I voted for Bernie in both 2016-2020 Michigan primaries. My wife voted for Warren.

Five states cancelled GOP primaries-Kansas, Alaska, South Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada have all canceled their Republican primaries/caucuses in order to throw their support fully behind President Donald Trump

The states at this link [1 ] delayed primaries- none were cancelled. If Bernie dropped out prior to May 8th which is when the article was issued, then he knew he was already behind. In fact I analyzed the sum total per each date of primary using a spreadsheet and Biden had a lock after Super Tuesday voting- so the delayed states? If Bernie thought he could take enough he could have stayed in. He must have done the math too.

I go with facts though I realize this issue is emotional for some.

2016 Bernie led until early April (but with mostly smaller states). Clinton surged din late April starting in NY followed by large states California and new jersey in June at which point she mathematically had a lock on the nomination

Did she muddle some of her campaign? Sure. But don't discount the "emails" garbage, the mysoginy at play, the 20+ hears of Hillary and Clinton hate spread by Republicans.

Elections have a wide range of variables - but what keeps getting ignored is: PEOPLE VOTED
