Attacking abortion is biasing our society solely on a couple sects of the Christian tradition - this violates freedom of religion of hindus, muslims, buddhists, atheists etc who do NOT adhere to christian right wing theology

Further- at least (most) catholics who oppose abortion support strong social safety net- not so however with right wing evangelicals tied to the Republican Party's free market prosperity christianity ideology- you only care about babies until they are out of the womb- then it's hands off
