a good acquaintance of mine who is planning to vote for Trump again told me he's not a fan of the guy but "when he's in control he is great"

My response was " When he's in control"? why even vote for someone who is often or even sometimes NOT in control? Is that really who you want with the nuclear codes and in command of the mightiest military on the planet?
